Money is a topic that evokes different emotions and experiences in people. The concept of money was instilled in us at a young age, and we knew even at a young age that having money was important.

Our parents and other family members often have a significant impact on our beliefs about money and our financial habits. The messages we receive from them, such as "money is the root of all evil" or "you have to work hard to make money," can create conflicting beliefs and ideas about money, leading to confusion about how to approach it. Our experiences growing up can also shape our beliefs about money. If our parents struggled financially, we may develop the belief that making money is difficult, and we will always struggle to make ends meet. Conversely, if our parents were financially comfortable, we may believe that making money is easy and that we will always be financially stable.

Redefining our relationship with money as a tool is a paradigm shift. Money is a tool that can be used for whatever the holder of the money wants. The holder of the tool can have good or evil intentions for what the money will acquire. However, money is neither good nor bad; it just exists to be used as a means of energetic exchange to accommodate means to an end.

Making better choices comes from being laser-focused on our purpose, why it is our purpose, and how to use one of our biggest tools, aside from time, and money, to achieve the life we're looking for. Just because we become super clear and can make better choices because we are focusing on one priority at a time, that does not mean it will be effortless. It's essential to identify our priorities and develop specific goals to achieve them. By examining our bank statements and comparing them to our budget, we can determine what we care about versus what we say we care about.

.

Ultimately, our relationship with money is an intimate one. As we begin to develop an understanding of how money is a tool, we can then begin to see how intimate of a relationship we can have with money. It's essential to recognize that money is not the root of all evil. The real root of all evil is the intention behind the action. Money can be used for good or bad purposes, depending on the intention behind the action. By developing a positive and empowering relationship with money, we can use it as a tool to achieve our goals and make a positive impact on the world.

Money is a tool. Understanding your process and thoughts about money determines how you can use this tool. Develop a habit to become clear on your current priorities and how your money is impacted by them. Allowing yourself to be vulnerable with your thoughts and processes and allowing others to help literally helps you get to the next level. Clarity on your priorities and goals sets you free from constantly trying to figure it all out.
